***NOTICE***

Emergency Food and Shelter Program Funds Available

Tioga County has been awarded federal funds made available through the Department of Homeland Security/FEMA under the Emergency Food and Shelter (EFSP) National Board program.  Tioga County has been chosen to receive $17,679.00 to supplement emergency food and shelter programs in the county through Phase 41.  A Local Board comprised of citizens from all areas of Tioga County will determine how the funds are to be distributed among applicants that provide emergency food and shelter programs in our area.

Eligible applicants must: 1) be private voluntary nonprofits or units of government, 2) be eligible to receive Federal funds (UEI number), 3) have an accounting system, 4) practice nondiscrimination, 5) have demonstrated the capability to deliver emergency food and/or shelter programs, and 6) if they are a private voluntary organization, have a voluntary board.  Qualifying agencies are urged to apply.

Public or private voluntary agencies interested in applying for Emergency Food and Shelter Program funds should contact the Tioga County Partnership for Community Health (ssticklin@tiogapartnership.org) or by calling 570-723-0520 to request an application.

The deadline to submit applications is Thursday, April 18, 2024, by 4:00pm.
